“Every day brings a new challenge but our team loves solving problems.”

What is your professional background?

Before joining EMBL-EBI, I studied botany, psychology and bioinformatics in India. I then went on to do a PhD in Cheminformatics in the Czech Republic.

What does your role entail?

I do whatever I can to make PRIDE intuitive, and to simplify data submission. Alongside my biocuration work, I also act as an intermediary between our users and our technical team. I offer support with improvements to the data submission tool and with adding new features that our users need.

What do you enjoy most about working at EMBL-EBI?

I love the fact that every day brings a new challenge, and the best thing is that our team loves solving problems so there’s always someone to consult with. On a personal note, I appreciate the fact that the institute is supportive of staff with childcare responsibilities.
